PM Modi said it has emerged as one of the biggest challenges and said police need to do new innovations to tackle such crimes. " This crime is no more limited to police stations and states alone. Online fraud has become a national and international challenge now and its time police improvise to tackle this challenge. The government has also taken many steps to tackle this crime," said the PM.

Earlier on Friday, the Prime Minister had informed about this interaction and said he will be interacting with IPS probationers, who will go on to hold important police responsibilities in the years to come.

" At 11 AM tomorrow, 31st July, will interact with IPS probationers from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. These probationers will go on to hold important police responsibilities in the years to come," He had tweeted on Friday.

Interacting with IPS probationers, PM Modi said negative perception people have of police is a big challenge and asked them to work to change this image.

He asked them to make decision in the interest of the national interest. "Whatever decisions you take in field, national interest & perspective should guide them. People fought for 'swaraj' in freedom struggle, you have to dedicate yourself to 'suraj' (good governance). You are starting your career at a time when India is going through a phase of transformation in every field, every level. The coming 25 years of your career are also going to be the most important 25 years of India`s development. That`s why your preparation, your mood, should be in line with this big goal," said PM Modi
