Many Bollywood actors and actresses have sought investment tips from market guru and Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi. Most of their questions are related to where and how to invest in the current market to get best returns. In this series the latest to approach Singhvi is Bollywood actress Ragini Khanna who asked, "Where should I invest my funds. Please tell me the best way to invest."
Market Guru Singhvi said the Ragini's question appears to be very simple and easy, but in reality it is quite difficult to answer. What needs to be realised by all investors, Singhvi said, is that the first principal of investment is going "back to basics". Therefore, financial planning for investment becomes a must. According him, help should be sought from a financial advisor for better planning. Along with this, asset allocation is very important because this is how it is decided where to invest your assets.
Singhvi said that generally people invest 75% to 90% of their wealth in property without any fear or hesitation. However, when they invest even one or two percent in equity, they are always scared. They are least worried that property rates may go down, but a slight decline in equity market gives them sleepless nights.
Extending his advice to Ragini , the Market Guru told her to get the help of a financial advisor for asset allocation who will help her design tailor-made financial goals. "After this, you will have to start investing and keep on investing from time to time."
Further, he said, "if you do not invest from time to time, it will create a problem. Therefore, to earn money from your investment, keep on investing regularly."
