NTA UGC NET registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registrations process for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2019 exam today. The candidates will be able to register themselves and apply for the UGC NET exam through the NTA official website - ntanet.nic.in. The students will be able to register themselves until  October 9, 2019. They should go through the official notification for information regarding the registration process.

NTA took over the responsibility of conducting the NET exam on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2018. Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would conduct the exam. The role of NTA is limited to conducting exams for the higher education courses and eligibility tests.  

According to the official notification, UGC NET exam will be held between December 2 and December 6, and the results for the same will be announced on December 31. The candidates must possess 55 percent marks in Master’s degree or equivalent exam from recognised universities or institutions to be eligible to apply for UGC NET. However, the candidates belonging to the reserved category get relaxation in marks.

Steps  to complete UGC NET December 2019 exam registration:

1. The candidates should go to the NTA UGC NET section of the website- ntanet.nic.in
2.  They have to click on "UGC NET 2019 December Registration"
3. When a new page opens, the candidates have to register themselves with their personal details
4. Once the details are submitted, they will be allotted a UGC NET December 2019 registration number, which the candidates have to remember
5. The candidates have to Log-in to their newly-created account with the registration number
6. Now, they have to  fill in the application form with image, and signature
7. Here, the candidates will be able to submit their application by paying fee

According to the official notification, the admit card for UGC NET exam will be released on November 9.
