NTA JEE Main 2020: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an application form for the engineering entrance exam on September 2 (Monday). The interested candidates can apply at jeemain.nic.in or nta.ac.in. Till 2018, JEE Main was held once in a year by the Central Board of Secondary Education, however, the NTA conducts the test twice a year now. The first session of JEE Main was held in January and the second was conducted in April, however over 10 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam this year.

The foreign students are also expected to appear for the national-level entrance from this year onwards. However, there are certain documents required to get into. Here is the full list of documents required to fill the NTA JEE Main 2020 form. 

JEE Main 2020 exam details

The JEE Main 2020 will be held from January 6 to 11. The registration for the January session will close on September 30 and the admit cards will be available for download on December 6. The results will be out on January 31.

NTA JEE Main 2020: Documents required

1. A self attested copy of passport sized photo

2. Scanned copy of signature to upload

3. Proof of a date of birth as on class 10 passing certificate

4. Class 10 and class 12 mark sheet

5. EWS, PWD, SC/ST or another reservation certificate, if applicable

6. Education qualification certificates

Notably, JEE Main will be mandatory for foreign nationals seeking admission to NITs, IIITs and other government-funded engineering colleges in India from 2020. The NTA after conducting both the January and April exams will release a consolidated rank list, besides declaring separate lists with percentile scores. The Indian students who secure a rank in top 245,000 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, which is entrance gateway for admission to IITs. 

JEE Main 2020 New Changes

1. From 2019 onwards, National Testing Agency (NTA) is given the responsibility to conduct the entrance exams of JEE Main.

2. NTA JEE Main 2020 will be conducted twice every year in the months of January and April in online CBT mode.

3. The age limit to apply for JEE Main has been removed. 

4. Candidates have to book their exam slots to appear for online mode exam.

5. Candidates appearing among the top 224000 qualified students will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

6. Diabetic students can take water bottle, fruits and sugar tablets inside the exam center.

JEE Main 2020 Syllabus

The students can check complete NTA JEE Main Syllabus via online mode. The syllabus of Paper I will contain various topics from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics studied in the 11th and 12th level. While Paper II Syllabus will contain topics from the Aptitude, Mathematics and Drawing sections.
