Railway stations are one such public place were free wi-fi facilities will be available.

The government plans to install wi-fi facilities at 100 stations in 2016-17 and 200 stations by 2017-18, said Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Communications and Minister of State for Railways, Manoj Sinha in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.

Here are the stations at which free wi-fi facilities are currently available:

1. Kacheguda (Telengana),

2. Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh),

3. Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh),

4. Patna (Bihar),

5. Pune (Maharashtra),

6. Ernakulam (Kerala),

7. Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh),

8. Ranchi (Jharkhand),

9. Bhubaneshwar (Odisha),

10. Raipur (Chattisgarh),

11. Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh),

12. Guwahati (Assam),

13. Jaipur (Rajasthan),

14. Allahabad (UP),

15. Lucknow (UP),

16. Lucknow Jn. (UP),

17. Gorakhpur (UP) ,

18. Sealdah (West Bengal),

19. Puri (Odisha)

20. Kalyan (Maharashtra).
