The Nifty on Thursday opened at 12,120, up by 0.23% from the previous close on Wednesday while Sensex at 41,311.22 up by 0.23%. On Wednesday, the Nifty ended the day at 12,089.15 levels while Sensex closed at 41,142.66. The benchmark Nifty50 index ended up 106 points or 0.9%. All indices on the NSE settled higher except media. The Nifty Media index slipped 0.77% to end at 1,768.50 levels. On the upside, metal stocks jumped the most with the Nifty Metal index ending over 3% higher at 2,675 levels.
