The Navi Mumbai International Airport in Mumbai will become operational by July 2024, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, according to a Zee Business channel report on Thursday.

Navi Mumbai International Airport will be the second international airport in Mumbai once it becomes operational. The government has said that it is making all arrangements to ensure that the facility starts functioning at the earliest.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the project at Navi Mumbai in February 2018.
