Nanu Ki Jaanu box office collection: This Abhay Deol, Patralekhaa starrer is a horror comedy with a difference. It is a love story. Unfortunately, the feelings are one sided and it is the ghost doing all the loving for a living man who had tried to help when she was dying in the real world. The movie has a bit of thrills thrown in as Abhay Deol is a character with a criminal bent of mind, but knowing that a ghost is following him everywhere and it is just totally unwilling to leave despite all efforts to force it to make an exit, adds to the drama. Result: Some bizarre situations are thrown up. Problem for the film is that the critics have not taken very kindly to it and some have rued Abhay Deol's decision-making faculties while picking roles, to say the least. Nevertheless, the film is in theatres and footfalls have been slow in the early morning shows. They are expected to get better as the day wanes, but currently, the film has logged just a 15% occupancy rate.

However, all is definitely not lost! Nanu Ki Jaanu box office collection may well get a boost from the one source that matters - the public itself. Remember, many recent films started slow and yet ended their run in triumph. The early morning shows of Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 were not really great and yet they ended with a massive day 1 collection. Nanu Ki Jaanu too is a commercial film and most of the boxes are sought to be ticked by the filmmakers concerned. And the rival Nanu Ki Jaanu has to contend with for the public's attention is Varun Dhawan's October, which started abysmally slowly but managed to pull itself up to a satisfactory enough level. it has a collection of Rs 30.24 crore till reports last came in.

As far as Nanu Ki Jaanu is concerned, then know that this is a Tamil film remake by the name of Pisaasu. It is penned by Mysskin and has been adaptated and screenplay provided by Manu Rishi Chadha. Considering that horror and humour together in one film have been a winning formula over the last couple of years, the filmmakers are targetting a triumph on the lines of Golmaal Again, which had a  cast consisting of Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade, Tabu and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Nanu Ki Jaanu box office colelctions will have to, of course, have to do it with a smaller and less iconic cast. Both Abhay Deol and Patralekhaa would be hoping their performances get a thumbs up from the audience in the form of a word of mouth boost.
