Heavy and incessant Mumbai rains have affected the life routine of Mumbaikars as all transport services i.e. rail, road and aviation have been disrupted for almost two days now. The rainwater flooded roads, railway tracks and the runway of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Once these services resumed after the rains eased, passengers thronged to these transport services. However, for those, who wanted to pick aviation routes are having to pay around 35-40 per cent higher charges as the last-minute prices of the flights from Mumbai have registered a jump in the last two days. In fact, the price rise is triggered by the passengers rescheduling their Mumbai bound flights as well.
