On Saturday, the weather forecast agency, IMD said Mumbai and its adjoining areas will continue to record " Heavy to very heavy rainfall, as per satellite and radar indications. It was observed that the impact of extensive rainfall was developed more towards suburbs, Thane and Navi Mumbai areas in the last 24 hours.

The weather forecast predicted, " Mumbai and surrounding areas received widespread rainfall in last 24 hours with heavy to very heavy rainfall at few places. The impact was more towards suburbs, Thane and Navi Mumbai areas. Satellite, radar indicates rainfall will continue. 

Also Mumbai's municipal body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has warned citizens to avoid the sea following the possibility of a high tide, The tweet says, "As per IMD, there is a warning of heavy rainfall today along with a high tide of 4.90 meters at 1.44 PM We appeal citizens to avoid venturing near sea or walking in waterlogged areas. In any emergency call us on 1916 "

Mumbai Police issues advisory to Mumbaikar's saying, "As per weather forecast, Intense spells of rain likely to continue in the next 4 hrs and heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hrs. We request Mumbaikars to take adequate precautions & ensure safety. #Dial100 in case of any emergency. Take care Mumbai"

The city has been facing incessant rain and waterlogging for past few days. Due to which Mumbai has have resulted in massive traffic jams on busy roads, waterlogging, slowdown and cancellation of trains and many delayed flights. 

As per ANI report, due to heavy rain and waterlogging, all the government schools will remain closed in Thane. Thane Municipal Corporation has issued the orders in view of continuous rainfall in the city. 

Reportedly, a landslide occurred in Raigad near Poladpur on Mumbai-Goa highway today, following incessant rainfall. Vehicular movement suspended on the route.
