Mumbai airport flights update: Rains have wreaked havoc across Mumbai causing day to day life to be affected significantly.  The downpour has affected various services in Mumbai. Similarly, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, which is one of the busiest airports in India has witnessed 188 arrivals and departures delayed and that too within a short span of just 15 hours on Thursday. Operations at the Mumbai Airport were hit due to the downpour and fluctuating visibility levels. Both incoming and outgoing flight operations at the airport faced the impact as rain lashed 'Maximum City' and the entire coastal Konkan region.

According to the Mumbai airport website, 125 flights were delayed during departures including both domestic and international airlines. Majority of flights were delayed between 09 AM till 12 PM. 

Similarly, approximately 63 flights were delayed (arrivals) at Mumbai airport. For arrivals, majority flights were delayed from 12 AM to 3 AM, with more delays to follow.

Various airlines have already informed the passengers in advance about the delays in flights and have suggested the passengers to first confirm the timings of flights and then travel to the airport. 

According to Skymet weather report, Monsoon surge along the West Coast will result in moderate rains with a couple of intense heavy spells over Mumbai and it's suburbs but these rains will not be as heavy as they were yesterday. However, Waterlogging still persists in many parts of Mumbai and with a few moderate spells may cause some problems in parts but the situation will be much better than yesterday.
