With the monsoon in full swing, heavy rain has affected various transport services in Mumbai, and travellers are struggling to reach their destination or just opting to stay at home. Whether it is local trains or flights, continuous heavy rains have slowed all transport operations in Mumbai. One of the busiest airports in India, Mumbai airport Tuesday saw as many as 319 arrivals and departures delayed within a 12-hour period. Notably, flight delay numbers are increasing.

Various airlines like SpiceJet and Indigo have already warned their passengers about the delays in flights from and to Mumbai airport. It looks like the situation is not expected to change anytime soon, as weather forecaster has predicted that the Heavy rain is likely to continue in Mumbai.   

According to the Mumbai airport website, 163 flight were delayed during departures including both domestic and international airlines. Majority of flights were delayed between 06 AM till 09 AM. 

Similarly, approximately 156 flights were delayed or en route during arrivals at Mumbai airport. For arrivals, majority flights were delayed from 6 AM to 9 AM, with more delays to follow.
