While speaking at the 125th anniversary of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India has left the lockdown behind and unlock 1.0 is now in place. He expressed confidence that the entire country will be able to come out of the Coronavirus lockdown impact. Prime Minister In his speech, PM Modi unveiled his latest idea about how to turn India into an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. PM stressed that 5-I - Intent, Inclusion, Investment, Infrastructure and Innovation - are important to speed up the unlocked economy post-COVID-19 pandemic and expected captains of commerce to implement such a strategy on their road to recovery post lockdown.

PM Modi went on to add that that being self reliant or "Aatmanirbhar' means that we should not be dependent on others for our needs. Reminding about his 'vocal for local' call PM urged enterprises to make products in India, that can be sold around the world.

“Self-reliant India is about -- Strong enterprises; generating employment; empowering people to come out and find solutions. Now, the need is that we make those products that are made in India, but made for the world. We have to cut our imports. India must not be dependent on others,” concluded Narendra Modi.
