Mission Mangal box office collection: The Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan film is raking in moolah at the box office. The movie's collection is expected to cross the lifetime earnings of another Akshay Kumar hit Kesari, which narrates the valour of Sikh soldiers in the pre-independence period. Kesari's lifetime collection is Rs 150 crore in India business. With a 7.83 crore collection on Friday, the movie has so far made Rs 135.99 crore. The movie is well-received by  the audience. Being a science movie, it also received a good chunk of audience from the young bunch.

On FRiday, the movie witnessed better footfall, as it was the holiday of Janmashtami. This is Akshay Kumar’s second highest grossing film, according to film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh.

Mission Mangal's India net collection has been at Rs 135.99 crore, gross oversras collection at Rs 35.11 crore, while the gross worldwide collection has been at Rs 195.66 crore. 

Earlier, Mission Mangal surpassed the collection of Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 (2017). Mission Mangal is an interplanetary mission of the Mars Orbiter. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the film also features Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen.
