Mission Mangal box office collection Day 5: The Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan film has struck gold at the box office. The movie based on India's Mangalyaan or Mars Orbiter Mission crossed a crucial level of Rs 100 crore on the fifth day. After earning over Rs 29 crore on the opening day, the movie has not looked back. Film Trade analyst and critic  Sumit Kadel in a Twitter posts said that "MissionMangal  - ₹ 170-180 cr (Expected)"

So far the movie has earned net Rs 106.47 crore in India business. On Monday, the movie collected  Rs 8.91 crore at the box office. The numbers were better during the weekends. On Saturday and Sunday, the movie earned Rs Sat 23.58 crore, and Rs 27.54 crore, respectively. 

"#MissionMangal Monday- ₹ 8.91 cr. Total Rs. 106.47 cr nett," Kadel tweeted today. The movie has received good response from the audience and critics. A large chunk of the audience were the kids.

Besides Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the Jagan Shakti directorial venture has Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen and Kirti Kulhari in important roles.
