Mission Mangal box office collection: This movie is putting up great numbers at the box office. The Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer, after a fall in earnings on Friday, witnessed growth on Saturday. On the opening day, it earned Rs 29.16 crore in India business, which is the second-highest first-day collection of a Bollywood movie in 2019, second to Salman Khan starrer Bharat's earning of over Rs 40 crore. So far, the Jagan Shakti directorial venture managed to make Rs 70.02 crore in India business and now staring at the target of Rs 100 crore.

The movie is doing well in metro, as well as, tier 2 cities. On Friday the film garnered Rs 17.28 crore, while the collection went up on Saturday to Rs 23.58 crore. The movie caught the imagination of the people and received good reviews from critics.

Besides Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the movie also casts Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, H G. Dattatreya, Vikram Gokhale and Sonakshi Sinha. The movie revolves around Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)'s Mars Mission. 

Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), or Mangalyaan is a space probe orbiting Mars since September 24, 2014, is India's first interplanetary mission.
