Mission Mangal box office collection: The Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan film is doing great at the box office. Since its release, the movie is putting up great numbers. After raking in Rs 29.16 crore on the opening day, the film's earning has been consistent. With a figure of Rs 6.93 crore on Thursday, the movie has so far collected Rs 128.16 crore in India business. The movie crossed the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2, which was released in 2017.

Mission Mangal's earning is inching closer to the lifetime collection of Kesari, another Akshay Kumar film. Kesari made Rs 154.41 crore in India business. The Jagan Shakti directorial venture may break many more records in the coming weeks.

The movie has been well-received by the audience. Children made up the major chunk of its audience, as it is a science (non-fiction) film.  The movie is Akshay Kumar's biggest-ever opener and also the second highest opening day grosser of the year after Salman Khan-starrer 'Bharat', which made over Rs 40 crore on the first day. Besides Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the movie also features Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen in important roles.
