Mission Mangal box office collection: The Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer is still putting up great numbers at the box office even as there are new releases such as Prabhas starrer Saaho, Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore in the past two weeks. The Akshay Kumar film's revenue flow has been consistent since its release on August 15, the Independence Day.  With a Rs 2.10 crore collection on Sunday, the movie has made Rs 197.37 crore in India business.

The Jagan Shakti directorial venture, after making more than Rs 29 core on the first day, it managed to earn Rs 128.16 crore in the first week. Batla House, which was also released on the same day with Mangal Mission, has minted over Rs 97 crore so far.

Mission Mangal probably is the India's first pure science movie. The movie received great number of children as audience. The movie is based on Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)'s Mangal orbiter. Besides Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the movie features Vikram Gokhale, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, and Sharman Joshi in important roles.
