According to a report by DNA, a resident of Sewri had booked a cab on July 7, 2011, as his wife and son were about to go to Chennai to get his son’s admission in a Chennai based college. The cab was booked for 5 o’clock in the morning.

The complainant’s wife and son missed their flight, as the cab was delayed by half an hour. Finding no other option, the complainant had to book new flight tickets. Also because of the delayed time, the mother-son duo had to wait till the next day for their admission, as the college had closed by the time the two reached Chennai.
