Meghalaya election exit poll result 2023: Polling across 59 of 60 assembly seats on Meghalaya began on Monday at 7 AM amid tight security. As man as 21.6 lakh voters are eligible to take part in the democratic exercise. A total of 369 candidates are in the fray.

The ruling National People's Party is fighting to retain power and the BJP, Trinamool Congress and other regional parties vying to bring about a change in the government. A total of 323 booths have been identified as critical while 84 booths are both critical and vulnerable.

The candidates for the state polls include BJP (20), CPI (1), INC (23), NCP (12), NPP (12), NDPP (40), NPF (22), RPP (1), JD (U) (7), LJP (Ram Vilas) (15), RPI (Athawale) (9), RJD (3), and Independent (19).

Meghalaya Election Result Date

According to the Election Commission of India, vote counting in Meghalaya will take place on March 2. The result will be announced on the same day. The tenure of the 10th Meghalaya Legislative

Assembly is scheduled to expire on March 15.
