Benchmark indices were trading near the day's low in afternoon trade. Negative global cues triggered profit selling in domestic shares after gains in the past four trading sessions. At 1:44 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex, advanced was down 182.39 points or 0.4% at 41,123.64. The Nifty 50 index was down 50.35 points or 0.41% at 12,087.60. Bank Nifty was 121.85 points, or 0.39%, down to 31,182.20.

Eicher Motors: Down 2.73%. Reported a 2.5%decline in its third-quarter standalone net profit at Rs 488.9 crore.

 

Strides Pharma: Up 1.35%. The subsidiary, Strides Pharma Global Pte. Limited, Singapore, has entered into a definitive asset transfer and licensing agreement with Pharmaceutics International, Inc.(Pii) to acquire 18 ANDAs for the US market.

 

​Lupin: Down 3.01%. Company's net loss widened in the quarter ended in December 2019.

 

HCC: Up 1.42%. Earlier, jumped 4% as the company announces plan to reduce debt by Rs 2,100 crore.
