The benchmark indices pared gains in early afternoon trade with the Nifty slipping below the crucial 12,200-mark. At 1:17pm, the S&P BSE Sensex, was up 332.47 points or 0.81% at 41,548.61. The Nifty 50 index was up 90.00 points or 0.74% at 12,197.90. Similarly, Bank Nifty was 168.55 points or 0.54% up at 31,469.15.

Lakshmi Vilas Bank: Up 4.80%. Surges 41% in a week on report US fund house eyes stake. The private sector lender's stock has been frozen upper circuit for the fourth straight day.

 

Bandhan Bank: Up nearly 3.38% ahead of the MSCI India Index Review. 

 

Avenue Supermarts: Up 4.54%. Continues winning run. 

 

SPARC: Down 10% as USFDA rejects cancer drug application.

 

HEG: Down 14% on poor Q3 earnings, Co posts net loss of Rs 1.23 crore
