Key benchmarks indices pared losses in early afternoon trade. Trading was volatile after the Supreme Court rejected the plea seeking new schedule of AGR payments and ordered contempt proceedings against Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea. At 1:20 pm, the S&P BSE Sensex, were down 85.52 points, or 0.21%, at 41,374.27. The Nifty 50 index lost 27.85 points, or 0.23%, at 12,146.80. The Bank Nifty was down by 285.75 points, or 0.91%, to 30,944.50.

Shree Renuka Sugars: Down 8.97%. Reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 208.6 crore in Q3 against a net profit of Rs 311.1 crore in the year-ago period.

 

Nestle India: Down 0.14%. Slips after hitting a 52-week high in early trade. Q4 net profit jumped 38.4% to Rs 473 crore against Rs 341.8 crore.

 

Avenue Supermarts Ltd: Down 3.83%. The non-retail portion of Avenue Supermart's OFS subscribed 30% till 1:15 pm. Share slips 4% as floor price is Rs 2049/Share.

 

Bharti Airtel: Up 4.19%. Surges in the hope of consolidation in the sector hit a new high. Supreme Court rejected the plea seeking a new schedule of AGR payments.

 

Banks: SBI down 1.68%, IndusInd Bank down 2.32%. Slip as banks stare at NPA pile-up due to AGR verdict.
