In what comes as a major relief for passengers, Air India on Friday announced a no-show waiver, free reschedule in view of traffic disruption in the NCR region. The decision has been taken amid farmers protest in the national capital region which has led to traffic congestion in some parts.

There were traffic snarls on Thursday at Delhi's border with police checking vehicles coming in from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
"In view of traffic disruption in NCR region due to the closure of Delhi borders, we are allowing no-show waiver & one free reschedule to passengers who couldn't report for their flights. The waiver will be valid for flights scheduled out of Delhi airport for 26th November," said Air India.
In addition, privately-owned airlines, IndiGo and Vistara said that they will also take appropriate steps for passengers who were not able to reach IGI Airport on time for their flights on Thursday.
"Heavy traffic congestion and slow vehicle movement expected due to roadblocks on Punjab-Haryana borders. Customers traveling from Chandigarh are advised to allow more time for their journey to the airport. Thanks,” Vistara tweeted.
Similarly, Spicejet and IndiGo advised passengers traveling to the Delhi Airport to allow sufficient time for their journey to the airport, to avoid any delays.
"Due to ongoing Protest at Delhi-Haryana borders, we are anticipating heavy traffic enroute to Delhi Airport. Passengers are advised to have enough travel time in hand while travelling to the airport to avoid last-minute hassle,” IndiGo tweeted.
Meanwhile, thousands of protesting farmers from Punjab and Haryana gathered in Panipat town, resumed their onward journey on tractor-trailers on Friday towards the national capital to lodge their protest over the Centre`s new agriculture laws. Simultaneously, hundreds of thousands of farmers belonging to the Bharati Kisan Union Ekta-Ugrahan and the Kisan Sangharsh Committee have announced to start their journey from Sangrur district and Jandiala in Amritsar district, respectively, towards Delhi via Haryana.
