LPG price today: Businesses are already affected due to COVID-19 pandemic, bur traders are now more upset due to increase in prices of commercial LPG Gas Cylinders in Uttar Pradesh's Agra. According to a report, the price of commercial LPG gas cylinders has increased by Rs 190 on a 19 kg cylinder. Now, customers have to pay Rs 1572 per cylinder.

However, LPG price of 14 kg gas cylinders have not changed, they are available at the same rate of Rs 707 per cylinder. The district consumes 50 thousand commercial cylinders per month. They are used in hotels, restaurants, confectionery etc. In last October, the price of commercial cylinders was Rs 1198 per cylinder. The price has been steadily increasing since then, Jagran reported.

In November, the prices of 19 kg cylinder were raised to Rs 1274 per cylinder. Later, the price was increased to Rs 1329 from December 1. The price of cylinder was hiked second time in December month last year. The authorities increased the price to Rs 1365.50. Also, in January, there was an increase of Rs 16.50, and the price of commercial cylinders was Rs 1382.  Now, the Rs 190 increase from February 1 came as shock to many traders in the city.

Earlier, Jagran quoted, Vipul Purohit, President of Agra division of All India Indane Distributors Association and Santosh Sikarwar, president of Agra LPG Distributors Association as saying the new LPG price has become effective from February 1.
