The Kerala Pooja Bumper Lottery BR-76 lottery ticket will be in five series viz NA, VA, RA, TH, RI.  First prize winner of Pooja Bumper 2020 BR-76 will bag a whopping Rs 5 crore. Second and third prize winners will get Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, respectively. There is also a consolation prize of Rs 1 lakh. While 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th prize winners will take home Rs 5,000, Rs 2,000, Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 respectively.  

Prize money of less than Rs 5,000 can be claimed by the winner from any lottery shop in Kerala. However, for the prize money above Rs 5,000, the winners will have to submit their tickets before a bank or government lottery office along with their identity proof, says the official website.

The draw will be done at Gorky Bhavan, Near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram, at 2 pm today.  
The lottery in Kerala is run by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries. The department which came into existence on September 1, 1967, released its first lottery ticket on November 1, the same year.      

Kerala is among the 13 states which runs lotteries. The 12 other states are West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Nagaland, Goa, Maharashtra, Manipur and Mizoram.

The department now rolls out seven weekly lotteries viz. Pratheeksha, Dhanasree, Win-Win, Akshaya, Bhagyanidhi, Karunya and Pournami lotteries and six bumper lotteries. The department, which started with a few personnel, now has around 465 employees under its Directorate located at Vikas Bhavan at Thiruvananthapuram, 14 District Offices and a Regional Deputy Directorate at Ernakulam.

Moreover three Taluk Lottery Offices are also functioning one each at Punalur in Kollam District, Kattappana in Idukki District and Thamarassery in Kozhikkode District. The department which was initially under the Department of Finance was later brought under the Taxes Department.
