Kalank box office collection: The film has seen another day of moderate collection at the box office. This earnings of Saturday was less than what was collected by the film on the opening day. The Abhishek Verman directorial venture made a record collection on the first day of its release at Rs 21.6 crore, which is the highest amount grossed by a Hindi film in 2019. However, the trend is downward moving since then. On the second day (Thursday) and the third day, the movie collected Rs 11.45 crore and Rs 11.60 crore, respectively.

On Saturday, the earnings further fell to Rs 8.5 crore and with this, the total collection now stands at Rs 50.5 crore.   "#Kalank Saturday- ₹ 8.5 cr nett. Total- ₹ 50.5 cr nett," Film trade analyst and critic Sumit Kadel tweeted today.

However, in the overseas market, the film has seen some traction and so far collected $2.85 million or Rs 19.79 crore.

Besides Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, the movie featured Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur in important roles.

The love story, which is set in Pakistan near Lahore, around the partition time, has received a mixed reaction. Its earning on Sunday and following weekdays will give a clearer picture whether the film would get a place in the Rs100-crore club.
