His latest release - Kabir Singh, a remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy - has set the box office on fire and is refusing to slow down even on weekdays. Starring Shahid Kapooor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, Kabir Singh opened to a massive first day by raking in Rs 20.21 crore and hardly witnessed a decline in its collection even on working days by minting Rs 17.54 crore on Monday and Rs 16.53 crore on Tuesday.
With this, Kabir Singh entered the Rs 100 crore club in just five days, second fastest after Salman Khan's Bharat in 2019. Now, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has earned another Rs 15.91 crore on Wednesday to take its overall collection to unbelievable Rs 120.81 crore. At this rate, the film should end up earning more than Rs 200 crore by the end of its second weekend, becoming one of the biggest hits of 2019.

Kabir Singh has already crossed the first week collection of Kesari which earned Rs 105.86 crore in 8 days and Gully Boy which earned Rs 100.30 crore in the same number of days.

The only challenge for Kabir Singh would be Ayushmann Khurrana's upcoming release - Article 15. Based on a sensitive topic, the film releases on Friday and would appeal to a small section of moviegoers. Yet, with the actor getting two back to back hits last year with Badhai Ho and Andhadhun, you never know!
