The National Testing Agency has recently published the examination schedule on its official website. Under which they have postponed the dates of registration. As per the NTA schedule, the JEE Main registration for January 2020 examination was to begin today i.e September 2, 2019. However, the January 2020 registration procedure will now begin from tomorrow. The candidates may find details regarding the NTA JEE Main 2020 syllabus on the official websites -  jeemain.nic.in or nta.ac.in.

According to a new notice posted on the official website, the January 2020 registration procedure will now begin from tomorrow ie. September 3, 2019. JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board.

According to the official notification, " The aspiring Candidates of JEE (Main) - 2020 are informed that the Online Submission of Application form of January JEE (Main) – 2020 will start from 3 rd September 2019."

Mode of Examination
JEE (Main) - 2020 will be conducted in the following mode: 

a. Paper-1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” 

b. Paper-2 (B. Arch/ B.Planning): Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in “Pen & Paper Based” (offline) mode to be attempted on drawingsheet. 

Total marks:
JEE Main exam is of total 360 marks and each question carries four marks and for every wrong answer one mark is deducted. The candidates should go through the syllabus for detailed topics. 

Age Limit: 
For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed XII examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination – 2019. 

According to NTA statistics, a total of 9,35,741 students appeared for the entrance test in April session. However, this year the number of candidates is expected to be higher, as candidates grom foreign countries are also expected to appear for the exam.
