JEE Main 2018 Result: The wait is over for more than 2.2 lakh candidates as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday has declared the results for Joint Entrance Examination, Main (JEE Main) 2018 today Monday, 30th April, 2018 . The  JEE Main 2018 result that has been announced is of Paper 1.  JEE Main 2018 concluded successfully on April 08 in offline mode and April 15, 2018. On its official website, the institution has scheduled today's date for announcement of the JEE Main 2018 Result.

CBSE released the official answer key along with images of candidates' OMR sheets and machine recorded responses. Candidates could have challenged both answer key and machine recorded response in case of any disagreement till April 27. Now they can only check their  JEE Main 2018 Result. 

Based on their performance in JEE Main 2018 result, top 2,24,000 All India Rank (AIR) holders will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced, scheduled for May 20.

JEE Main 2018 scores and All India Ranks will be used for allocating seats in NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), and other (CFTIs) Centrally Funded Technically Institutions across India. 

According to website, the cut off for general category is expected at 98, followed by OBC category at 63, Schedule caste at 45 and Schedule tribe at 40. 
Here’s how you can check your JEE Main 2018 Result in 5 steps. 

Step 1 -  Visit the official website jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in

Step 2 - Click on the result link (Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018)- with Rank

Step 3 - Enter your JEE Main Roll Number and Date of Birth.

Step 4 - Your JEE Main 2018 Result will be displayed on your computer screen.

Step 5 - Take a printout of the rank card for future reference i.e. counselling and admission purposes.

The result for JEE Main Paper II (Architecture) will be announced on May 31. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is the national level Engineering Entrance for admission to B.E/B.Tech & B.Arch/B.Plan Courses.

Those appearing in JEE Advanced 2018 will be eligible for admission to IITs(Indian Institutes of Technology). JoSAA will hold centralized counselling session for all IITs, NITs, IIIT and CFTIs.

2. Hemant Kumar Chodipilli from Andhra Pradesh bagged second rank
3. Rajasthan's Parth Laturia got the third rank.
4. A total of 10.74 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, with 2.3 lakh qualifying for the JEE-Advanced which is an entrance test for admission to IITs and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
5. A total of 1,80, 331 boys cleared the exam, with 50,693 girls qualifying for the next stage.
6. The exam was conducted at 1,621 centres (1,613 in India and 8 abroad) across 112 cities (104 in India and 8 abroad).
