In states like Haryana, Uttarakhand Uttar Pradesh, changes have been made in the Janmashtami holiday.

The state governments of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand had announced Janmashtami holiday on 18 August but now that has been changed to 19 August. Moreover, in Haryana, the state has announced Janmashtami holiday on 19 August. So the festival will be celebrated in these three states on 19 August.

Yogi Government changes its decision

According to Hindu panchang, the Janmashtami is being celebrated on 19 August and because of this the Uttar Pradesh government has brought in the changes. Chief Secretary General Administration, Jitendra Kumar has issued orders in respect of this and has informed about the change in Janmashtami holiday.

Uttarakhand is observing Janmashtami on this day

In line with the decision of the UP government, Uttarakhand has also announced holiday on 19 August. It was previously declared on 18 August. So the banks, school and government offices will remain shut.

Haryana Government also changed the holiday date

The Haryana government also declared holiday on 19 August instead of 18 August. The state government issued official order regarding this. All government offices, educational institutions, boards will remain closed on this day.
