However, Delhi High Court on Tuesday asked Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to follow its moderation policy of giving grace marks to students for difficult questions.

In April, CBSE said that it will do away with its policy of giving grace marks to students with immediate effect.

Hindustan Times reported, "The court said the sudden implementation of such a decision would put students through considerable trauma.Children have a right to know what you are doing. Probably they are under more stress. Don’t instill insecurity.”

CBSE Class12th results for 2017, hence, might be delayed.

Moneycontrol said, "Further, an official had told a publication the board would put up a notification about the results date 24 hours prior to declaration. So far, there has been no notification on CBSE website (cbse.nic.in) or on the official results website (cbseresults.nic.in)."
