Elated with the successful launch of Shri Ramayana Express, the IRCTC is not only earning praise, but is also filling up its coffers. Zee Business has come to know that Indian Railways is planning to begin many more such trains, covering almost all the religions to reap benefit, in terms of revenues, out of it. 
 
The exclusive information in this regard was shared by IRCTC PRO Siddharth Singh, who informed Zee Business that Railways has been getting demands to begin Shri Ramayana Express and the success of it has encouraged the department to begin more such trains.
 
He said that due to overwhelming demand from Jaipur, Indian Railways will launch a Ramayana Express train from there on November 22, and another from Rajkot on December 7. He said that similar service was already there but it was running in south India. This is the first time that Shri Ramayana Express service has been started from Delhi.
 
Talking about covering religious circuits, Singh said that IRCTC already has trains for Sufi circuit, and for Amritsar.   
 
Further, he informed that IRCTC is already running a yearly tour package of Buddhist circuit which has been liked by people coming from South East Asian countries. 
 
On Similar basis, in coming day IRCTC may start a train service for Kumbh, and there is also a proposal for tour package for Jain circuit.

Notably, the Shri Ramayana Express was flagged off on Wednesday from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi. The train, which departed with 800 passengers, will have two travel components; one each in India and Sri Lanka.
 
In India, Shri Ramayana Express will make its first stop in Ayodhya followed by Hanuman Garhi Ramkot and Kanak Bhawan temple. The train will then cover destinations of Ramayana circuit including Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayag, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi and Rameshwaram.
 
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka leg of the tour will be charged separately as those opting for it will have to take a flight to Colombo from Chennai. The IRCTC currently offers five-night/six-day Sri Lanka tour package at a cost starting from Rs. 47,600 per person.
