To enhance the security features on IRCTC e-ticketing website irctc.co.in, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) revamped and updated its website and it is being migrated to TLS 1.2. Now, TLS 1.2 is not supported in older versions of operating systems like Windows XP & Windows Server 2003. Which means that the users who are using the older version like Windows XP and Windows server 2003 will not be able to access the IRCTC website and are not allowed to avail the benefits provided by the website.

After migration of IRCTC e-ticketing website to TLS 1.2, the website will no longer accessible in Windows XP and Windows server 2003. To get access to the website the users have to upgrade their operating systems. To continue using the facility of IRCTC e-ticket booking, it is necessary to upgrade the operating systems higher than Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

The alert says that the TLS 1.2 is accessible with Windows Vista & Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 & Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8 & Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1 & Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 10 & Windows Server 2016. 

IRCTC e-ticketing website has no doubt upgraded the pattern of a ticket booking and has helped the individuals to book Indian Railways train tickets, hotels, tatkal tickets, modify/cancel the tickets without going to the ticket counters and save their time and money.
