After a few days of relative calm, the monsoon has once again hit Mumbai with renewed vigour. In fact, in just three hours early Monday, the city saw very heavy rains to the tune of 108mm. This, once again slowed down Mumbai to a crawl in most aspects of daily life, with rail, air and road traffic being affected. This forced air carriers SpiceJet, Indigo and Vistara to warn their customers about flight delays, which is likely to continue through the day. What is more, it is being forecast that the rain is going to be very heavy for the entire month of July. In such a situation it is always advisable for passengers to check their flight status before travelling especially during heavy spells of rain.
