LTT Bhubaneshwar Express (train number 12879) which has a scheduled departure time of 0.15 was rescheduled to 4 am on Wednesday, which caused a delay of three hours and 45 minutes. Again, the LTT Gorakhpur Express which had to be rescheduled from its departure time of 5.50 pm to 9 pm, causing a delay of three hours and 10 minutes, Central Railway tweeted.
The Western Railways has retweeted that, the Ahmedabad-Howrah Express (train number 12833) left two hours late from Ahmedabad at 2.15 am on Wednesday. Even train number 12834 was running over 5 hours late.
In a statement on Tuesday the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that rain is highly likely at some places today over East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Odisha, Konkan and Goa and Coastal Karnataka. Heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala, said NDTV.
The weather department also said in a statement that, some isolated areas in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh are likely to experience rains along with thunderstorm.
The Met Department has also anticipated heavy rains at isolated places over Uttarkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, SubHimalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Coastal Karnataka on Thursday. Again isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya
Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam & Meghalaya, Konkan & Goa, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry and Kerala are also expected to experience heavy rainfall.
The temperature in Delhi has also come down by nearly 6 degrees in the capital after a rainfall today. Again Mumbai is also experiencing rainfall since Sunday.
