The cave in was spotted in Banjranggarh and Thandla Road stations on the Ratlam-Godhra section. The Indian Railways train movement was restored at 3.30 pm on Monday.
When the information about the cave-in received, the Indore-Pune Express was scheduled to pass on the damaged line. The train was stopped immediately and the entire traffic on the route was diverted to another track, said J K Jayant, Public Relations Officer, Western Railway (Ratlam Division). Many trains were delayed due to this.
Even some trains were cancelled ahead of their destination, according to a PTI report. The Indian Railways track safety staff worked for hours and the line was mad oerational at 3.30 pm onn Monday, he added. This development came after there were a lot of furore among the people after there were a couple of accidents that took hundreds of lives.
