Sensing heavy rush in coming Holi festival on Delhi to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh routes, the Indian Railways has announced 10 special trains to meet the additional demand by the people of Bihar and UP earning their bread and butter in north India, especially Delhi and its suburbs. To meet the demand of additional travelers going home for Holi, the Northern Railway has announced as many as 16 special trains out of which 10 will originate from Delhi. Indian Railways officials informed that regular trains running from Delhi to Bihar and UP would be unable to meet the heavy demand and hence they have announced these special trains to fulfill the wishes of the people from Bihar and UP who are looking to celebrate the Holi festival with their relatives.

The Indian Railways is expected to announce some more trains. It should be noted that special trains announced by the Northern Railway last year before Holi festival had to-and-fro operations of 264 while other special trains had a total of 233 to-and-fro operations.

Here are the list of trains originating from Delhi to Bihar and UP:

1] Anand Vihar to Patna: Trains would be available from March 16 to March 23 on every Saturday during this date. Scheduled departure of the train is 00:10 hrs from Anand Vihar and 19:35 hrs from Patna.

2] Hazrat Nizamuddin to Pune: Trains would be available from March 12 to March 28. Scheduled departure of the train is 21:35 hrs from Hazrat Nizamuddin on Tuesday and 05:15 hrs from Pune on Thursday.

3] Delhi to Chapra: Trains would be available from March 17 to April 1. Scheduled departure of the train is 14:00 hrs from Delhi on Monday and 16:00 hrs from Chapra on Sunday.

4] Anand Vihar to Gorakhpur: Trains would be available from March 15 to March 23. Scheduled departure of the train is 00:10 hrs from Anand Vihar on Saturday and 22:10 hrs from Chapra on Friday.

5] Hazrat Nizamuddin to Yashwantpur: Trains would be available from March 14 to April 1. Scheduled departure of the train is 20:00 hrs from Hazrat Nizamuddin on Monday and 18:30 hrs from Yashwantpur on Thursday.

6] New Delhi to Barauni: The trains would be made available for passengers from March 12 to March 22. Scheduled departure of the train is 19:25 hrs on Tuesday and Friday from New Delhi and 21:35 hrs from Barauni on Wednesday and Saturday.

7] Anand Vihar to Kamakhya: The trains would be made available for passengers from March 13th March 23rd. Scheduled departure of the train is 11:45 hrs from Anand Vihar on Wednesday and 05:35 hrs from Kamakhya on Saturday.

8] Anand Vihar to Lucknow: The trains would be made available for passengers from March 22. Scheduled departure of the train is 21:05 from Anand Vihar on Tuesday and Thursday and 18:30 hrs from Lucknow on Wednesday and Friday.

9] Anand Vihar to Vaishno Devi Katra: The trains would be made available for passengers from March 11 to March 21. The train will depart from Anand Vihar at 21:00 hrs on every Monday and Thursday and 23:30 hrs from Katra on Tuesday and Friday.

10] New Delhi to Mumbai Central: The trains would be made available for passengers from March 22. The train will depart from New Delhi at 14:50 hrs on Saturday and 16:00 hrs from Mumbai Central on Friday.
