The transparent Vistadome coaches are available on the Dadar-Madgaon Jan-Shatabdi Express. This revision will come to effect from June 12 and will extend till September 24.

As per the latest monsoon timetable introduced by the rail authorities, the glass dome coach will run six days a week —- thrice each from Mumbai and Madgaon. It will not operate on Wednesday when it shall be maintained. For those in Mumbai who are interested in booking Vistadome coach, it would operate on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

“We will also be running the 2nd tier AC coaches in this train,” said LK Verma, Chief PRO of Konkan Railway.

The train is scheduled to depart at 5.25am from Dadar and arrive at Madgaon at 4pm, according to the revised timetable.

For all other seasons, between November 1 and June 30, the train departs at the same time from Dadar but arrives in Madgaon at 2.05pm.

This special AC glass-roof Vistadome coach was first introduced in September last year for passengers to enjoy panoramic view.
