The Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway has distributed electronic note books among 47 girls of lower grade employees, a railway official said. The purpose is to empower the girl students of class X1 and X11 to pursue their studies, said Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Chakradharpur Division) Bhaskar said.
The gadgets were distributed at a function in Chakradharpur yesterday.
He said Indian Railway had been implementing various welfare scheme for the wards of the lower grade employees from its Employees Welfare Fund round the year.
