Indian Railways has decided to run some special trains in order to clear the extra rush of passengers due to the upcoming festivals. North Eastern Railway has decided to increase the frequency of 04924/04923 Chandigarh-Gorakhpur-Chandigarh Special Train. The Railways has increased the train's frequency between October 18 and November 16.

The train number 04924 Chandigarh-Gorakhpur Special Train will leave on October 18, 25 and November 1, 8 and 15 at 23.15 hrs and will pass from Ambala Cantt at 00.10 hrs, from Saharanpur at 02.00 hrs, from Muradabad at 05.25 hrs, from Bareilly at 07.00 hrs, from Lucknow at 11.00 hrs, from Gonda at 13.50 hrs, from Basti at 16.03 hrs and will reach Gorakhpur at 17.30 hrs.

For the return journey, the train (04923) will run on October 19, 26 and November 2, 9 and 16. It will leave from Gorakhpur at 22.10 hrs, from Basti at 23.20 hrs, from Gonda at 00.50 hrs, from Lucknow at 03.20 hrs, from Bareilly at 07.02 hrs, from Muradabad at 08.50 hrs, from Saharanpur at 12.07 hrs, from Ambala Cantt at 13.40 hrs and will reach Chandigarh at 14.25 hrs.

The train will have 22 coaches including of 2 Seating cum Luggage Rake, 5 general coaches, 9 sleeper class coaches, 4 third AC coaches, 1 second AC coach and 1 first AC coach.
