India has reported 337,704 new cases over the last 24 hours out of which 10,050 were Omicron cases according to a Government release. The data was as of 7 am today and was 3.69 per cent higher than the case recorded previously over the 24-hour period.

India’s Active Caseload is presently at 2,113,365 with active cases constituting 5.43 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 16.65 per cent and the Daily Positivity rate also reported to be 17.22 per cent.

The government release further said that 242,676 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,63,01,482.

India’s recovery rate stands at 93.31 per cent.

Over 67 lakh Doses (6,749,746) vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, taking India’s overall COVID-19 vaccination coverage to 161.16 Cr (1,61,16,60,078) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded, the release claimed. The last 24 hours saw a total of 1,960,954 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 71.34 Cr (71,34,99,892) cumulative tests.
