This time as an income tax returns filing. Yes, we are talking about none other than MS Dhoni! By paying Rs 12.17 crore, MS Dhoni is the leading income taxpayer from Jharkhand for the assessment year of 2017-18. According to a report by Prabhat Khabar, Dhoni has also declared advance tax of Rs 3 crore for the next financial year.

In the 2016-17 financial year, Dhoni had paid an income tax of Rs 10.93 crore, said chief income tax commissioner V Mahalingam. Dhoni is the third highest earning cricketer in India behind Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, according to Forbes. With an estimated earnings of Rs. 63.7 crore, Forbes India's list of the celebrities with highest earnings in 2017 has listed him at No.8 in the country.

In 2017, Dhoni has launched his apparel line SEVEN and also co-owns the Chennayin FC football franchise in the Indian Super League. Ranchi Rays franchise in the Hockey India League is also jointly owned by him.

Dhoni recently led Chennai Super Kings to the Indian Premier League title. However, his Team India future has been under cloud after a none-so-bright performance against England in the recent ODI and T20I series.
