PM Modi Meets Indian Olympic Contingent: The Tokyo Olympics 2020 has been one of the most successful outings for the Indian Olympic contingent. India bagged seven medals at the Tokyo Olympics, consisting of one Gold medal, two silver medals and four bronze medals. India's 'Golden Boy' Neeraj Chopra won the first ever gold medal for India in athletics in javelin throw. Today, the Olympians are being felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence.

The Tokyo Olympics was all the more memorable this year because Indian men's hockey team won an Olympic medal after 41 years. The men's hockey team won the Bronze medal after beating Germany 5-4 in the Bronze Medal match.

This year, India's campaign was quite dramatic as it began with Saikhom Mirabai Chanu winning the Silver medal in women's 49 kg weightlifting. The campaign ended with Neeraj Chopra winning the Gold Medal in men's javelin throw.

This yea, Ravi Dahiya won the Silver medal in men's 57 kg freestyle wrestling and Bajrang Punia bagged the Bronze medal in men's 65 kg freestyle wrestling.

PV Sindhu became the first Indian women to win two Olympic medals. She won the Bronze medal this year. In 2016 Rio Olympics, Sindhu won the Silver medal. Lovlina Borgohain won the Bronze medal in boxing.

Indian women's hockey put up a spectacular show but unfortunately missed the Bronze medal by a whisker after the defeat in the Bronze medal match to Great Britain.

Aditi Ashok also missed the Bronze medal by a narrow margin as she finished fourth in women's golf.
