Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has released the detailed exams notification for Joint Admissions Test for Master's (JAM) at IIT and IISc. Candidates should notice that this year a major change in JAM 2020 has been introduced. It will conduct test for six-subjects and has discontinued the biological science paper.

Acording to the official notification, IIT JAM 2020 will be held on 9th February 2020, and the application process for the same will commence from 5th September 2019 and continue till 8th October 2019 (5:30 PM). The JAM Result 2020 will be announced on 20th March 2020, while application process for admission to MSc programmes will commence from 9th April 2020 to 22nd April 2020.

The notification further stated about exam sessions for different papers of IIT JAM 2020 Exam, and that will be held in two sessions. The morning session will start from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the afternoon session will be held between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM. 

The exams for biotechnology, physics and mathematical statistics papers will be held in the morning, while exam for mathematics, chemistry and geology will be held in the afternoon shift.

Notably, IIT JAM score is used for admission to other centrally-funded technical institutions including NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET Punjab and IISERs.
