Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) is all set to hold the Phase I of its Campus Placements for Academic Year 2019. Phase I of Campus Placements will begin on 1st December 2019 and will be held till 20th December 2019. Phase II of Placements will be held from January 2020 to the end of the Academic Year. A total of 476 students have registered for Campus Placements 2019-20. Significantly, IIT Hyderabad Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) have almost doubled this year and it shows has likely paved the way for a robust upcoming placement season.

The Placement have gone on to a strong start as the number of Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) has nearly doubled from last year’s 19 to 37 as of 30th October 2019. This also includes Two International Offers. Most of the offers have come from Information Technology and Information Technology-Enabled Services (IT/ITES). Most of the PPOs that have come so far is for undergraduate students.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Yemula, Faculty In-Charge (Placements), IIT Hyderabad, said, “The placement process at IIT Hyderabad is a student-led activity, and thanks to their efforts in last six months, the Institute is gaining in strength each year in terms of quantity and quality of placements. As our institute is more than a decade old, we have built a reasonable alumni base who are supporting the Institute. The fact that we have almost doubled the number of PPOs this year shows an encouraging outlook for the upcoming placement season.”

IIT Hyderabad Students have already got offers from prominent companies such as American multinational technology firm Microsoft Corporation, global investment and technology development firm D.E.Shaw, multinational investment bank Goldman Sachs Group, multinational firm Amazon, Technology Firm Arcesium and computer networking company Arista Networks, among others.
