IIM Ahmedabad has completed with its placement for the Class of 2019 of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management. In the final placement, firms from multiple domains participated across the three clusters. While students being placed across more than 23 cohorts, 139 firms participated in 184 different roles in the placement process this year. Accenture Strategy, The Boston Consulting Group, and Flipkart are the firms that made the most number of offers. At the end of the final placement, Accenture Strategy made 24 offers, including pre-placement offers, which is followed by BCG with 20 offers.

With 9 offers, Avendus was the largest recruiters among the investment banks, followed by JP Morgan with 8 offers.

HUL has extended 5 offers in the sales and marketing domain, followed by Mondelez and Wipro Consumer Care with 3 each. Aditya Birla Group was the largest recruiter in the General Management cohort with 9 offers. Flipkart extended most offers in the B2B and B2C cohort with 14 offers, followed by Amazon with 11 offers. Paytm made 10 offers and Microsoft extended 8 offers.

The whole placement process was conducted in two stages. In the first phase, the firms interviewed students with prior work experience. Then they were offered mid-level managerial positions and 36 firms have hired students from sectors such as technology, banking, consulting, general management and analytics.

The second phase was the final placement process where the firms were grouped into cohorts and they the groups of cohorts were invited to campus across different clusters based on the profile offered.
