Landing a government job is dream for most of the middle-class population in the country. Prevailing uncertainty in the private sector and job security promise in government  employment has increased the desire for these jobs among students. In the latest news available on government jobs, it has been revealed that the Rajasthan state Cabinet has decided to announce 1.8 lakh vacancies by July this year in 108 types of posts across various departments and categories. The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, said Parliamentary Affairs minister Rajendra Rathore. The minister  also reportedly said that 21,000 posts of sweepers and others will be filled up through local bodies. “Candidate will not have to give their detail separately for each examination.

The department of IT has come up with an arrangement where they (candidates) would have to do one-time registration,” DNA quoted Rathore as saying. There will be 5% reservation for ex-servicemen in state civil services, 12.5 quota in subordinate and secretarial services. However, 15% reservation in fourth grade jobs will remain same.

In a separate development, the Indian Railways too had earlier invited application for 89,409 vacancies for Group-D, Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians. Recruitment is in process. For more details, interested candidates can visit official website indianrailways.gov.in. The last date for the online application has been extended to March 31. Also, the Indian Railways will soon invite application for 9500 posts in Railway Protection Force (RPF), out of which 50 per cent vacancies would be reserved for women. Railway Minister Piyush Goayl said in a tweet earlier that the Indian Railways have almost completed the procedure of filling 90,000 vacancies in Group C and D and now it will soon start the process of filling 9500 posts in Railway Protection Force (RPF) out of which 50 per cent vacancies would be reserved for women.
