How to book train tickets on new IRCTC website launched by Indian Railways
On Monday Indian Railways launched a revamped IRCTC website to book seats that can even predict the probability of getting confirmed tickets. The website that became operational at 12 midnight, is passenger-friendly and clutter-free.
On Monday Indian Railways launched a revamped IRCTC website to book seats that can even predict the probability of getting confirmed tickets. The website that became operational at 12 midnight, is passenger-friendly and clutter-free. This allows passengers to login to the website easily and the navigation is also more simple than the older one and would also allow easy and faster booking of tickets.
The website also allows seamless navigation on mobiles, desktops, laptops, and tablets. In a bid to help passengers, the website has been upgraded with filters as per departure/arrival time, class, train and quota.
Now passengers can check the availability of the train tickets without even login into the website. Earlier, passengers had to login into the website to search for train tickets.
How to book tickets through the new IRCTC website:
1. Passengers can visit the new website through irctc.co.in and click on the link provided that leads to the new beta version of the website. It is in red and says 'Try new version of the website'. The direct access to new website is - rctc.co.in/nget/. Each passenger is provided with a separate card while booking tickets.
2. This one time, pre-filled particulars will help the users to book tickets quicker, every time. Passengers can also make the payments of the booked ticket by marking six banks as preferred banks, under 'my profile.'
3. Details of the booking would be displayed on the screen on the completion of the payment.
Passengers can also view booked tickets based on journey date, booking date, upcoming journey and completed journey, under the new filters on ‘my transactions.’
