IRCTC is a unit of the Indian Railways and now, it is all set to step into a new area - film promotion! Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is known for his action movies, will see his latest film 'Housefull 4' being promoted by IRCTC. The Bollywood actor has booked an entire train, which will run from Mumbai Central today (Oct 16) at 3 pm, and reach New Delhi Railway station the next day on October 17. Notably, this train is run by Indian Rail Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The move is stated to be Indian Railways' novel idea to increase its revenue by promoting movies, art, culture, sports or even television shows.

The 'Promotion on Wheels' by special train has been run for the first time for latest Akshay Kumar film 'Housefull 4'. Film artists and media representatives will travel on this train.

According to reports, IRCTC is overseeing this special train, and has done vinyl wrapping on this train, which will have a total of eight coaches. The IRCTC is expected to run many such full tariff trains in coming days.

According to Ravindra Bhakar, chief public relations officer, Western Railway, the film will get a lot of publicity from this train, which will pass through Surat, Vadodara and Kota stations. Notably, Indian Railways has extended offers to many production houses to book trains for the promotion of their film, and IRCTC has been made the nodal agency to run such trains.

Directed by Farhad Samji, the starcast of Housefull 4 includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Chunky Pandey. Housefull 4 release date is October 25.
